DEACON/ WORSHIP GROUP LEADER

Graham is married to Rosemary and they have four grown-up children and four grandchildren. He is a Coventry kid and was born in Foleshill and has attended the church since joining Boys Brigade (which the church no longer runs) as a lad in the 1960’s. He is now retired from the building industry and continues to be involved in many different aspects of church life. Graham is a Deacon on the Leadership Team. He also leads our Worship Group so you will see him as part of the singing group at the front of the church and some weeks leading our worship time. He has a desire for lives to be won for Christ.

DEACON

Luke has been attending Foleshill Baptist Church since birth with his parents and family. Born, living and working in Coventry. Attending Church has had a great influence on Luke’s life and in more recent years Luke has grown closer to the Lord. Luke says “I thank God for His blessings in my life. Without Him, we can do nothing. It’s an honour to serve Him.” Luke has been a Deacon on the Leadership Team since January 2016 and has been Church Secretary since January 2019. Alongside these roles, Luke helps with our sound and projection on a Sunday morning, where most weeks you will see him at the back of the church working the equipment as well as giving us the weekly notices from the front of the church.

DEACON/ DESIGNATED PERSON FOR SAFEGUARDING

Mandy began attending the church in 2009 with her partner Mark and their four children. Mark and their daughter Yolande were baptised in 2010. Mandy and Mark were married in July 2010. Mandy is from the beautiful island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Mandy gave her life to Christ at the age of 12 and was baptised the following year. Mandy also serves on the worship team and so you will see her at the front of the church in the singing group and some weeks leading our worship time.

DEACON

Ray was saved while studying at Hatfield Polytechnic in his early 20s & 30’s. He came to Coventry to train and work in the car industry, and there met his wife, Cherryl. They have one son and three grandchildren. Ray has worshipped at Foleshill Baptist Church for over 40 years, and has served as Deacon and treasurer during that time on the Leadership Team. Ray is now retired from working in the car industry.

YOUTH WORKER

Ruth has been part of the church since she was 6 years old. She was saved as a child, was baptised in the church at 15 and spent some years serving the Lord abroad before returning to Coventry. She has been the Youth and Children's Worker since 2013 and helps to organise and run the Sunday Club, Holiday Clubs through the year, the Youth Group and Totsworld. She loves to share Jesus with children and young people and longs for them to be true, life-long disciples, with their own active and growing faith and trust in Jesus.

DEACON

Stuart moved to Coventry from the south of England, with his job in 1989. Having been introduced to his now wife Alison by a mutual work colleague, he first came to Foleshill Baptist Church in 1990 because it was Alison’s ‘home’ church, got married here in 1992 and was dedicated here in 1994 after coming to know our Lord, Jesus Christ personally through a course run by the Christian organisation, Operation Mobilisation. Stuart and Alison now have three grown up children. He has been a Deacon on the Leadership Team for many years, having previously been the Church Secretary. You will see Stuart on the front door most weeks.
